Background
Gokcen Gurk is a partner at Gurk Law, P.C. Her focus and extensive experience is in all facets of Immigration Law. She has represented individuals and corporations in regard to family and employment-based immigrant petitions, as well as non-immigrant visas, waivers and removal proceedings before the Immigration Courts in New York, New Jersey, Maryland and Pennsylvania. Ms. Gurk has also participated as a speaker in several conferences.
Ms. Gurk started her career as a Diplomat & Legal Counsellor for the Turkish State Department, where she negotiated international accords, such as anti-terrorism agreements, human rights conventions and participated in various international law conferences held at the United Nations, the Organization for Security and Cooperation Europe (OSCE) and many other international arenas. She served at the Permanent Mission of the Turkish Government at the United Nations in New York for 4 years before dedicating her career to the practice of Immigration Law. Ms. Gurk is also fluent in Turkish.
